The Joys of Potty Training

We were on our way to Jonesboro to eat supper with Nana and Poppy. Of course there is this little voice that says "I need to go pee-pee" , we had just turned on to the road leading into Jonesboro. Matt pull over to the side of the road and John Clinton goes pee. Well as we are getting back into the car here comes a Arkansas Highway Patrol man. He circles back around and pulls up behind us. Now at this time John CLinton is yelling "po-po car". He then pulls up next to us and asks if everyhting is okay. Matt quickly tell him that we have a 2 1/2 year old and that we are potty training. He says that he understands and good luck. All we could do from that point on was laugh. Oh the joys of potty training!

The exact same thing happened to my family when my brothers were little! I don't remember which one of them it was, but my grandpa was with us and was holding up a blanket or something so that the my brother wouldn't put on a show for all of rural Iowa to see. All Grandpa could say to the officer was, "The little guy had to go." Sounds like all the officers have a standard reply. I wonder if there's a class on dealing with potty trainers at the police academy? ;)

See what happens when I send Nana and Poppy to your house? You almost end up in jail!
