As I sit here, I can olny wonder what the new year will bring. It seems like in the last few days I have been at a crossroads. I am confused as to why there are so many things that seem to be harder for me. Why does getting pregnant not come easily to me? I know that I am not the only person who has fertility problems, but I am to a point that I wonder if trying all these drugs again will change anything. I am wanting to have another child and am wondering if it will ever come to truth. We have decided not to try the adoption route, we feel that John CLinton's situation is ideal(we have minimal contact and no requests for visits). So that leaves my crazy messed up body...we know that this body doesn't always work the way that I want it to.
Wow this post has gotten kind of deep..sorry to bring anyone down, but I needed to just get it all off of my chest. I think that Matt tries to be so positive that when I want to have a deep discussion he tends to not want to talk about it. I am hoping that 2009 will give us some kind of clarity in the baby way.

We are still alive
Wow! I can't believe I haven't blogged in such a long time. Things here have been crazy, right before Thanksgiving (like the day before) John Clinton decided to be sick and had a temperature for 4 days(YUCK). Then we found out that he will have to have his tonsils out...we go next week to see the ENT Dr. SO we will see how that goes.
Oh and don't worry-the annual Poole Christmas letter is in the mail. I am so sorry that I have not been blogging, I just know that I have so many followers. Well I promise that I will do better and try to blog more often. Oh and 5 days on Dec. 19 I will be on Christmas Break!!!YEAH!!!!!!!!!!

John Clinton and Thomas
On Sunday we were the best parents in the world and we took John Clinton to Day Out with Thomas. We got to go on a train ride and there were also a bunch of train activies that John Clinton could do. He got a James tatoo, played in the ball pit, played trains and then went down the big slide. He had a blast and as we left he told Matt "That was lots of fun daddy!" How sweet is my baby.

Happy 3rd Birthday Bubby
Yes, My sweet baby turned three on Saturday the 1st. It is hard for me to believe that he is already 3. We had a good time celebrating with all of our family at Amanda and Matt's house. We also were very grateful to be staying at Nana and Poppy's house on Friday and Saturday night, especially after my Matt got sick on Friday night.

Crazy Weeks
These last few weeks have been NUTS. I got the stomach bug about two weeks ago and am still trying to get my house clean, (thanks to my 2 men). We are officially potty trained!!!!!!! John Clinton has done great and we are so proud of him.
Last week the fair was in town and I am so proud to announce that John Clinton won a Honorable Mention ribbon in the Boys 2-3 year old baby picture contest. The whole baby picture thing tends to be a big deal in the little town of Kennett. There were 27 boys in has age range and am so glad that he got a ribbon. He also won a 2nd place ribbon with the art project that he did at daycare. Needless to say we ate all kinds of fair food last week. I love all the food that they have at the fair. We also got to hear daddy's band play on Friday night.
I think that I have now caught everyone up on what has been going on. There is still no news on the baby front yet. Please continue to say a prayer that what ever God has in store for us works out.

Mizzou vs SEMO
We have been very busy these last few weekends. We were able to go with my side of the family to the Mizzou vs SEMO football game. Needless to say SEMO got slaughtered. We did have a fun time tailgating with Amanda and Matt. John CLinton loved the hot dog and smores that Uncle Matt made him.
We also took in a Cardinals game. John Clinton has decided that his favorite player is Skip Schumaker. I guess that he loves his name because he loves saying Schumaker. We had great seats and wonderful weather. I even think that they managed to win on the day that we went.

John Clinton and Sheryl Crow
Yes, that's right John Clinton got to meet Sheryl Crow today and get his picture taken with her. She was in town for the dedication of the new high school tennis courts. She gave some money and she also helped the school get a grant to help pay for the rest of it. Afterwards she took pictures and talked to everyone. Matt asked if she minded taking a picture with her and she said no. So that's the whole story of how John Clinton got to meet Sheryl Crow.

Going on the potty
Well, we may be on our way to a very big milestone at our house. We are potty training and the wonderful daycare that John Clinton goes to is helping with this wonderful milestone. She told me last week to start putting him in underwear and to send extra clothes. So Tuesday, I get him ready and put underwear on him, pack extra underwear and clothes and off we go. Well when I pick him up he is is new clothes and I say "How many accidents?" ( I am thinking probably 2 or 3). Nope just 1. I was so proud of him. We even to go our neices volleyball game and no accidents. Today I do the same routine and when I pick him up we are in the same clothes. YEAH, WOW and YIPPEE!!!!!!!!! I hope that we are going to be potty trained in the next few weeks. So leave John Clinton some congratulations on his potty accomplishments.

Four Wheelin'
So yesterday we bought a used four wheeler. We have been looking for one for quite some time and found one. We told John Clinton that the only way he could ride on one was if he wore a helmet. He was great about wearing his helmet and didn't even want to take it off. Here are some pictures of him and his daddy on the four wheeler.

Afternoon at the Park
So John Clinton asked to go to the park today. We went to the little playground by the Sheryl Crow pool. I was able to take a few pictures and a video of him climbing. He always starts off saying "I can't do it." Then once we make him try he has no problem. Sorry the video is sideways, I don't know how to rotate it.

My Tricycle
I am trying to post a video of John Clinton peddling his tricycle. He has just now decided to try peddling instead of pushing it around. Today he peddled all the way down the street.

Yes, I am a slacker
Okay, so I have been behind on my blogging. Well let's see where to start. My mom came down to help me get my classroom ready(I think she really came to see John Clinton). She was wonderful help and my house has never been cleaner either. Mom stayed for a week and Dad came down and stayed for a long weekend. We really enjoyed having them both come for a visit.
School has started and that means back to work. Things are going pretty well so far, but we have only been in school for 5 days. But, no big problems yet.... This also means that John Clinton has also gone back to daycare. We are going to a new babysitter this year (our other one decided to take another job). The first few days John was excited, but the last couple of days he has cried and begged me not to go (Yeah I feel like the worst mother in the world and I even cried yesterday). The new babysitter says that he stops right after I walk out the door.
We have went to the doctor today for my 1 year check up from the molar pregnancy last year. She gave us the thumbs up to start trying for another baby. WOW!!! I never thought that we would get to this point. She actually thinks that I will have a better chance at getting pregnant. So if everyonre out there that reads this blog, please say a little prayer for us it would be greatly appreciated.
Oaky, I think that I am caught up for right now..I will try to do better

Back from the Beach
Well we have made it back from the beach and we had a great time. We got to have a few wonderful days at the beach. The only bad part was that there were a lot of jelly fish in the ocean for a few days since the Hurricane hit Texas. We also got to see a few 3 to 4 foot sharks on our last day there. Of course Matthew and his Dad were out in the ocean when the sharks were out there and one got pretty close to them, but luckily the shark turned away from them. We hope that you enjoy some of our pictures

Sheryl Crow Aquatic Center
Today my friend Kelly and I took the boys to the Sheryl Crow Aquatic Center. They have a big pool to swim laps in, a 1ft kidde pool and also a splash pad area. They loved every minute of it. They of course wanted to go from one place to the next, but overall they had a blast. Just check out some of the pictures that we took.

Fourth of July
We spent the Fourth of July with Aunt and Matt and got to see the fireworks at Webster Groves. John Clinton asked for them all day long and then was ready to go as soon as we got there. We also got to go a wedding on the 5th. One of my old neighbors in St. Louis daughters got married. It is weird to see some of the children that I baby sat for get married. We had a great time and as we were leaving we got to see the downtown fireworks. We had a great time in St. Louis. Thanks to Aunt and Matt for letting us stay with you.

Busy, Busy, Busy
Yes, I know that I have been slacking on my blogging lately. For some crazy reason I decided to teach summer school. I only had to teach 7 1/2 days because I split it with another teacher. But let me tell you that it was plenty long. Other things that have been going on is we lost our baby sitter at the end of summer school and had to find a new one. Luckily we have found a new one and we really like her. We were very sad though to say goodbye to Miss Tracy. We also have many trips planned in the next month. I am going on a retreat with the other 9 kindergarten teachers that I work with. We are going to Perdido Key, FL to relax, brainstorm things that worked and didn't work and work on some things for next year. Then we head to St. Louis to go to a wedding on July 5th. Then we are going to Branson for a night because my husband won a free night stay. Then we will be home for 2 weeks before we leave for Florida for over a week. WOW! I am tired already and haven't even left yet.

Happy Anniversary Hubby!
I just wanted to take a minute and wish my wonderful husband a happy anniversary. I love you so much and in my mind there are never enough words to tell you how much you mean to me. You stuck by me during all the hard times that we have faced in our journey to John Clinton. You will never know how much all your love and support meant to me. I just want to tell you that I love you and thanks for the first wonderful 9 years of a lifetime full of happiness.
I LOVE YOU!!!!!
I LOVE YOU!!!!!

Welcome Home, Thanks and Lil' Fishy
We also want to thank Nana and Poppy for watching John Clinton in St. Louis while we played in a golf tournament. Sorry for any trouble that he gave you. Welcome home to Amanda and Matt!!!! We are so glad that you had a great trip to Hawaii and sorry oofor the close encounter with the Hawaii rocks and the sea urchins. Bubby says thanks for the awesome book and gecko. Also we want to wish Uncle Matt a Happy Belated Birthday. Sorry that we didn't post it sooner but we knew that you were in Hawaii and wouldn't see it until you got home. We love you both.
